Sansum Martial Arts is committed to promoting the wellbeing of athletes within our sport to allow them to enjoy a positive experience of karate.
We are also committed to providing continuous support, training and guidance to our volunteers and staff within this area. Remember it’s not just the athletes that we want to protect it is ourselves too.
It is a constitutional requirement for clubs to appoint a Wellbeing & Protection Officer (WPO). The WPO is our main point of contact within the club. The WPO to also communicates useful information, training opportunities and changes in legislation to the club network.
Sansum Martial Arts Wellbeing Policies
Clubs are advised to adopt a range of relevant Wellbeing Policies (For example Child or Adult Wellbeing Policy, Anti-Bullying Policy, Acceptable Use of Mobile Phone, Social Media etc)
Safeguarding Officer: Tracy Elliott
Tracy is the point of contact for Wellbeing & Protection cases involving children and adults and supports Sansum Martial Arts to ensure our safeguarding and wellbeing policies are robust and fit for purpose.
